Jesus Paid It All

Jesus paid it all, even though I fall-

My failures He saw and yet with love He forgave.

Jesus paid it all, though dimly I may see-

My failures He saw while revealing new life to me.

Jesu paid it all, in Glory will I see-

My failures He saw while dying on Calvary.

Jesus paid it all, His love covered it all-

My failures were gone as though they had been thrown into the deepest of seas.

More thoughts to ponder: for Writing is Creating

Issue #2/ Volume #1

Who are you? Are you valued in this world? Most people’s normal reaction would be an immediate, “Well, I am myself and yes I’m valued as much as the next person! Sure, but based on what and judged by whom? According to most dictionaries, valued is an estimate or appraisal or being thought of with high regard.Esteemed or having favorable opinion. Okay, let’s say being of value is based on that definition. What all is there that causes someone to view another that way? Deeds? Attitude? Behavior? Who is it that determines the outlook or judges the outcome? Some would say, “It’s our fellow mankind that makes that call. If that is true, how people view me is in the hands of all kinds of people with all sorts of beliefs. Is that truly fair? I think not. Now some may say, well we should let those of like minds do that. This is beginning to sound like trial by jury. How is it possible to get a fair assessment? It’s not possible!

Doing good to please others, only pleases those you do good to. Those outside of the act of kindness is left out, so pleasing people will give a pleasant appearance to some. In the book of Matthew, chapter 6 and beginning in verse 1, the Bible tells us, “Make sure that you don’t do favorable or charitable things for men just to be seen by them and impress them. If so, you will receive no reward in heaven from your God. Don’t sound trumpets as some do for they will receive glory now on this earth.” It goes on to show that what we do before mankind doesn’t improve our image of who we are. Yes, it helps but how we are viewed by our heavenly father matters most. Jesus came to show us the how, the when and the why. He did that by showing us The Way. No one can please both God and man in the same way. We must humbly come to God and present our lives as a sacrifice to Him to be used for His glory and not our own or someone else’s.

If you profess to be “a” Christian, then your life will show a different way of living. What matters to the world the most will be least of your worries. “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” That is an internal freedom that lasts an eternity. So, are you valued? Yes, indeed!

Psalms, Praises & Parables

Issue #1/Volume I

These are a collection of thoughts, prose and stories intended to inspire, encourage and teach.

Take a moment to consider the Love of God. Our ability to love others comes from knowing and experiencing God’s Love! 1 John 4 explains that as God sent His Son into the world, we receive the opportunity for a richer, fuller life.

Because He loved us that much, we should find it easier to love others. Even though we haven’t actually seen God, loving each other brings us that much closer to Him.

The Spirit of God assures us that we are loved as we go about doing likewise to others. Love is made perfect in this world as we become more loving and less critical.

What is there to fear when God’s love takes over? God’s commandment to love one another becomes reachable, when we follow His example. As you go about your daily “routine”, why not spread a little love around! God’s Love, that is!

Stop worrying about things you have no control!

Johnny’s World: The Beginning

I would like to introduce you to my first book entitled “Johnny’s World: The Beginning”. It’s an easy read and is available on Amazon. It was released on December 31, 2019. You can also find it on the Palmetto Publishing Group’s website. This book is the first of a series of at least three books. The next book which will be titled “Johnny’s World: The Early Days”. I am very excited about this new endeavor as an Author. I have had some experience writing because of my Church work as a Worship/Music leader. I enjoyed opportunities writing articles for Church newsletters. As far as writing stories, the interest was brought about by both Grandchildren and other children in church requesting that I tell a story right off the top of my head. One day, a few months ago I decided to give writing a book a try. It amazed me how easy the first one was. The whole process of writing, proofing, editing and working with the publisher took about three months. I encourage you to look into purchasing my book, which is also available in E-book form. My book follows the adventures of friends who grow up in the U.S. South during a time when life was hard, but simple. We explore the influence one child has while helping others of all ages. This is a book the whole family can enjoy. It will relate, stimulate and create memories that even the mind can’t seem to hide. So, please check it out as you become a part of “Johnny’s World”.
